Infinity EindrĂŒcke 2024Same Same but Different
Finally a community again, finally #infinity365 again. That's how I started my LinkedIn post last week, and it spoke from my heart. Now, a week later, I still have such a pleasant feeling when I think back to Infinity365. How nice it was to meet all the members of the community again and to listen to their incredibly exciting presentations.
But let's turn the clock back to Monday, June 24, 2024. Again the Fourside trade fair hotel, again the Salzburg trade fair and again it's extremely hot! Something over 30 degrees. So definitely too hot. For anything. đ At the entrance to the trade fair, the familiar image from last year of Tobias and Laura, who warmly welcome me. It's so nice, it feels so good.
That day was workshop day. I was pretty excited because I had unfortunately had to change the subject shortly before and had now decided on the Microsoft 365 Security course with Aaron Siller. The workshop itself was very informative and showed me many ways of making a Microsoft 365 tenant compliant and more secure.
As a small side event, I had the pleasure of meeting two lovely former customers of mine on Monday evening and going out to dinner with them. By chance, we also met some of the speakers from the conference, which led to some nice conversations.
Then on Tuesday the time had come, the conference opened its doors and it was loud, exciting, funny and entertaining again (and unfortunately still sooooo hot). The focus of the presentations was the big topic of copilot. I was particularly pleased with the presentations on the topic of MS Loop by Sabrina Göttlinger, Andreas HĂ€hnel, Andreas SchlĂŒter and of course Christoph Twiehaus. Ferdi Lethen-Oellers' presentation on the new Planner was also exciting.
What's new in Microsoft Planner 2024
Ferdi Lethen-Oellers presented the latest features of Microsoft Planner for 2024. I was particularly impressed by the enhanced reporting, the improved integration with Microsoft Teams and the new automation options. These updates make Planner even more powerful and make project management much easier. The enhanced reporting features provide detailed insights into project progress and team performance. The improved integration with Teams ensures seamless collaboration and communication. The new automation options save time and reduce manual tasks, which increases efficiency. These features make Planner an indispensable tool for modern project management.
At the end of the day there was another highlight for me with a talk by Bianca Paulus on the topic of âFeelgood Managementâ. Since mental health is very important to me, I was particularly pleased to deepen this contact.
The evening event was once again a great event with many exciting conversations and delicious food.
Wednesday began with a talk by Engin Eser on "Microsoft Mesh in Action", which was very inspiring. Unfortunately, Bianca had to cancel her second talk due to illness, but I was compensated by other exciting talks. Alexander Eggers' explanations of Copilot in particular helped me to better understand its importance for companies.
Conclusion
It was once again incredibly exciting, informative, educational and fun. We renewed many old acquaintances and made new ones. A conference like this is above all an opportunity to network with one another. The whole conference had the pleasant feeling of "coming back" - everything was the same, but different.
The only downside: I couldn't clone myself to see all the exciting lectures at the same time.
Until then, your Michael
