Intellity trainees: progress overview

Our trainees at Intellity have made impressive progress in the last few months and are showing what they are capable of. Berkan, now in his third year of training, has further refined his skills in app development, while Anja and Dominik, in their second year of training, have intensively familiarized themselves with new technologies and mastered exciting projects.
And it remains exciting: next week a new trainee will be joining our team. We are looking forward to fresh ideas and will soon report more about the new challenges and successes. But first we have a small excerpt from the activities of our trainees from the last few weeks.

Development of the training budget app

In the past few weeks, Berkan was able to further hone his skills in app development by implementing the training budget app in Power Apps. This app, which is based on a SharePoint list, enables requests for trainee-related purchases and provides a clear representation of the current budget as well as all relevant entries such as item name and purchase costs. A special feature of the app is the implemented role concept, which specifically controls access to data and the ability to make changes by users. Power Automate was used for the approval processes to automatically forward requests to the back office and management. With the implementation of all basic functions, the app is now ready for an internal pilot test.

Kickoff of the "Future Techies" article series

Another highlight of Berkan's work was the launch of the "Future Techies" series of articles, which regularly deals with various technology topics and is specifically designed for trainees. Berkan has already published two articles informing about upcoming changes and updates and offering practical solutions to improve the user experience in applications. This initiative helps to expand the professional network and provide valuable insights into technical topics.

Further training in web development and Azure projects

Dominik has spent the last few weeks continuing his training in web development, with a particular focus on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. His goal is to further deepen this knowledge in order to be able to actively participate in the future revision of the company website. In addition, he worked closely with Berkan and Jens to set up and configure three Azure VMs. These include a domain controller, an Exchange server and an Entra-Connect. The team is currently in the test phase, in which they are creating new users and migrating mailboxes and carefully documenting the results. This project was an exciting challenge for Dominik, as it was his first in-depth experience with Azure. The knowledge gained will be of great use in future projects.

Microsoft course review and international collaboration

Anja used the past few weeks to take part in a challenging project. Together with Vasi (Junior Consultant), she checked Microsoft courses for errors and areas for improvement. They systematically worked through the Skillable Labs and identified errors in various courses, which they documented and forwarded for correction. The collaboration with an international customer was particularly formative for Anja, as it was her first major project on a global level. The praise she received strengthened her confidence in her abilities and motivated her to approach future customer projects with even more commitment.

Outlook for the coming weeks

Overall, the year so far has been both challenging and exciting for the trainees at Intellity. The successful implementation of web and app development projects, ongoing training in essential technical areas and initial experience with international customer projects give us confidence for the rest of the year. Everyone involved is continuously working to expand their knowledge in order to effectively contribute to the further development of the company website and future projects.
